Krig: Intervention is out!
Krig made its debut in 2019 as a simple polyhedral dice game, featuring a concise ruleset and straightforward mechanisms. Over the years, some elements have been refined, and a basic player board was added to enhance the gameplay experience.
This new update keeps the core game and mechanisms intact, while introducing full-color player boards inspired by a striking red sun and a rising moon. The game’s graphic design has also received a facelift, complete with a new logotype and polished icon.
However, the meat of this update is the addition of an expansion titled Krig: Intervention. Instead of replacing the original game, this expansion enriches it by introducing new tactical mechanisms that make the game more exciting while also mitigating the luck of dice rolls.
The best part? Both the update and the expansion are completely free! I’ve made the print-and-play files on itch.io, where I can easily provide updates and offer additional features, including multilingual and editable player boards. Additionally, users don’t need an account to download the game, and can optionally support Krig’s development by donating.
I encourage you to give it a try and share your thoughts—I’d love to hear your feedback!
